As the New Year unfolds, most people start making lists of all the things they would like to accomplish starting with the next three to six months. The list becomes this thing that eventually gets stuck in a drawer and we find it when we least expect it. Here is where the rule of 5 comes in. The rule of 5 is a simple technique that simply means do 5 things everyday that move you towards your goal and goal completion. Identify one or two goals that you would like to work on for 2013. Once you have identified your goal, write it down. Under your goal, everyday, write 5 things that you will do that will move you in the direction of your goal. Complete those 5 things. You will be amazed at how quickly you will move towards the completion of your goal. Once your goal is completed, start the process over again. If you do this daily, I guarantee your life will change, albeit slowly but steadily. Happy day.
