Who are you? Who do you pretend to be? These were a couple of questions that I asked recently at a day long seminar for students at Avila University. We were focusing on leadership development from the inside out, working on personal development and drilling down to an individual purpose statement that worked for each student. Today I was at the Clinique counter at Macy’s talking with my consultant about taking care of the skin we live in. We had a conversation about how important it is to work on the inside and the outside simultaneously. There needs to be an integration of who we are on the inside and who the world sees on a daily basis. How comfortable are you in your skin? Do you have layers that need to be peeled back so that your authenticity is exposed? Each day we have the opportunity for a new day, a new sense of self and a new relationship with the world. You can choose to let the world see your inner and outer beauty. The choice is yours.
